Driver Improvement Program (DIP)

All-Pro Driving School offers a Maryland MVA-approved Driver Improvement Program (DIP) in Silver Spring, MD for drivers who need to satisfy court-ordered requirements or comply with MVA referrals. This state-certified course reinforces Maryland traffic laws, defensive driving techniques, and responsible decision-making to help you improve driving habits and protect your license.

This course may satisfy the Defensive Driving class requirement designated by other states; however, please confirm with that state prior to registering for the program. The program may also be completed to help lower your auto insurance premium if offered by your insurance provider.

The program is offered in the 3 formats: in-person, virtual, and online. After completing the program, students will receive documentation confirming completion and will be electronically certified if they have an existing Maryland ID.

In-Person

  • Led by a Maryland MVA-certified driving instructor

  • Maryland MVA-approved curriculum that meets all state requirements

  • In-person instruction completed at our Silver Spring, MD office

  • Students must pass a 20-question exam with a minimum score of 80% to successfully complete the course

COST:

Online

  • Self-paced online course (not instructor-led)

  • Must be 18 years or older to enroll in the online format

  • Maryland MVA-approved curriculum

  • Available in English and Spanish

  • Upon completion, students receive a proof of online completion certificate (not an official Maryland MVA certificate)

  • Students must pass a 20-question final exam with a minimum score of 80%

All students must take and pass the in-person 20-question paper exam in order to successfully complete the program and receive documentation confirming completion and will be electronically certified if they have an existing Maryland ID.
