36-Hour Driver’s Education Program – The Foundation for Safe Driving

Our Maryland state-approved 36-Hour Driver’s Education Program provides comprehensive classroom instruction designed to prepare students for both the knowledge test and real-world driving. We cover traffic laws, defensive driving strategies, hazard awareness, and responsible decision-making. The program is structured into two parts: 30 hours of comprehensive classroom instruction and 6 hours of supervised behind-the-wheel training. Students are required to complete the program within 18 weeks from the first day of class. Upon completion of all program requirements, the student will be electronically certified with the MVA. Please note that paper certificates are no longer issued.

In-Class

  • 3-Hour class running Monday - Friday for 2-weeks straight.
  • In-person and Virtual sessions offered (Led by MVA Certified Instructor)
  • Can be taken with or without having a Lerner's Permit.
  • Student's must pass the Final Exam with at least an 80%.
  • MVA Approved curriculum

COST:

  • $100
  • $350 when taken and completed together with the 6-hr BTW

Behind-the-Wheel

  • 3 Days of hands-on supervised practice for 2 hours each day.
  • 1-on-1 practice.
  • Must have a valid Learner's Permit on hand during each session.
  • Students will learn the following skills: basic driving maneuvers, parking, and driving on expressways.
  • Students must pass their 3rd session with at least an 80%.
  • Student's will drive in MVA Approved and State Inspected vehicles.
  • Vehicles equipped with dual brake system.

COST:

  • $300
  • $350 when taken and completed together with the 30-Hr in-class
